Forestry is the leading Git based CMS. It allows editors, clients and publishers to edit static sites that use markdown with having to code.
While technically you can import a static into Forestry without writing a config, the default import provides a basic (inferred) experience.
This theme ships with an extensive .forestry configuration which strictly defines its content schema and;
Front matter templates have been created for each page and section
This is the front matter template for the Hero section. You can see we’ve made extensive use of field groups, include templates and have correctly configured each field
